"the size of the room is huge. also the clubs downstairs are a lot of fun.. it was a very good experience."

"good hotel overall, although unable to sleep due to clubs on ground floor. no consideration for disable, children and elderly as the noise keeps on disturbing all night and unable to sleep. staff needs more training as per western ethos. good service can facilitate good tipos but poor service expect more as a rule.clubs need some noise prevention remedies. no consideration at all. taxi service very poor and staff not helpfull to find decent taxi. as a matter of fact staff have there own contacts and on profit sharing deceive customers, very sorry but a fact. i hope things will change in time and owners need to think about it carefully."

"very out dated, staff don't respond immediately, no parking facilities and terrible parking outside the hotel, breakfast is terrible, will never recommend to anyone I know travelling to Dubai, all the facilities are of bad stanbdards, irons etc, felt like I had visited a 3rd world country"

"For the price the hotel is good value as it is quite near to the centre. It is a bit run down and with 3 discos on the ground floor could be a bit noisey we asked for a quiet room and were put on the fourth floor the top and furthest away from the noise. There was some mildew in the bathroom but we found this in a lot on hotels in this area. It is probably the aircon and the lack of ventilation in the bathrooms. Otherwise it was fine for us and we would stay there again. Breakfast was poor and a bit of a scramble but what can you expect for the price. "

"We stayed in Gulf Pearl Hotel, Dubai in May 2007 and again in January 2008. It is a good location. The room rate is a bit high. On the whole this hotel is good. Daniel & Peacelyn Jeyaratnam"

"This hotel should be shut down! i've never in all my life been in such a vile place. Working within hospitality, I had read the reviews but decided to ignore them as people tend to exagerate for good reading; however these people were not over exagerating at all! The smell as you walked into the hotel was outrageous! we opted for not getting to bedroom made up every day, as after the housekeepers had been in it smelt like they had been and cooked a curry in there! not the most pleasant of air freshners!! I stayed on the first floor, but spent under 3am most mornings awake from the music of the night clubs...it was so loud i could hear it word for word! The breakfast, well that was the biggest joke of all! I wouldnt have eaten it if you had paid me. I am not by any means a snob, and have slummed it in cheap accommodation before but of all the hotels ive ever been in, this was by far the worst!!! "

"The room was dirty and small, curtains were ripped, no hot water, the room had an unusual odor, service was well below average, breakfast was poor, could go on for ever but you will get the picture, probably good for a backpacker, for a low budget hotel, other than that I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone that I want to stay friends with. "
