Hamilton city is the seventh largest city of New Zealand, in the Waikato region of North Island , some 130 kilometers away from Auckland. This pulsating city has the second largest assortment of cafes in New Zealand preceded by Ponsonby Road in Auckland. The city is an important tourist destination of New Zealand. But remember don't mix it up with the Hamilton in Canada. Both are two different places with characteristics of their own. The Hamilton Gardens is the foremost tourist attraction of the city. It's a bunch of public gardens maintained by the Hamilton city council . The garden is very popular amongst the tourists of Hamilton. It attracts near about 600000 people per year and hosts more than 2000 events per annum. Its actually a theme garden and has different sections called the Paradise, Productive, Fantasy, Cultivar, and landscape collections. Its exquisite location between the banks of Waikato and State Highway 1 makes it all the more enjoyable. There is a convention centre at the middle of the garden known as the Hamilton Gardens Pavilion , a wonderful restaurant called the Turtle Lake Restaurant and the Turtle Lake Café. If you want to freshen up after having a tiresome wandering throughout the garden , just drop in at one of these food joints.
