Rif Mountains, Morocco is situated in the northern regions of the country. It is a part of the Gibraltar Arc. It stretches from Cape Spartel and Tangier, Morocco in the west to Cape Tres Forcas and Melilla in the east. It starts at the Mediterranean Sea in the North to the Ouargha River in the south. In the Middle Ages the Morocco Rif Mountains was ruled by the Kingdom of Nekor. In the twentieth century the Rif Mountains, Morocco was under the famous Moroccan guerrilla leader Abd el-Krim El-Khattabi. The major cities of the Rif Mountains, Morocco are Nador, Al Hoceima, Azghenghan, Selwan, Ajdir, Chefchaouen, Morocco, Tawrirt, Taza and El Jebha.

The Rif Mountains, Morocco is beautiful with craggy limestone peaks and bright blue skies. It is a beautiful unspoilt land with enchanting valleys and gullies. It is spotted with some of the fabulous streams in this part of the country. It reminds of the Taurus Mountains of southern Spain.
