This is one of the oldest and on of the most popular kind of garden found in Japan. The Tsukiyama Gardens are also known as the Hill gardens. The reason behind this is because of the fact that these gardens will have an artificial hill built on the garden. The main elements or components of the Tsukiyama Gardens are stones, ponds, trees, flowers etc. These are the basic elements which are present in almost all the Tsukiyama Gardens. These are extremely beautiful gardens and are highly decorative as well. The gardens are generally replicas of famous landscapes present in Japan or China. The Tsukiyama Gardens are found in various shapes and sizes. The smaller ones are generally viewed from the temple veranda or from a single point.
