Schleswig-Holstein, a province in the northern most part in Germany, is a beautiful place that is located between Baltic Sea and North Sea. There are many castles and beautiful manors strewn all through the Schleswig-Holstein countryside and there are also many interesting g festivals held in this place. Schleswig-Holstein has both gentle hills and vast flat plains that are covered with green pastures. Being close to two seas, the place is also great for those who want to try out some water sports and similar activities. The capital city of this province is Kiel.

  -  Schleswig-Holstein has an immensely developed maritime technology. There are also various music festivals held in this place throughout the year and the beautiful nature parks are ideal a leisurely stroll or a carefree day out with your family.

  -  Kiel, the capital city, is famous all over Germany for the famous water festival called the “Kiel Week” in which you can witness before your eyes a collection of around 2000 boats and 5000 sailors! Also, this island is the historic place where Hoffman von Fallersleben had composed his German anthem. The island has luxurious resorts its visitors.

  -  The city of Lubeck is also of great cultural and historical significance. It is the birthplace of the great writer Thomas Mann who has been a former noble prizewinner. Lubeck also has many interesting architectural structures and one such is the 500-year-old gate that bears some Latin inscription on it. No wonder this place has been marked by UNESCO as one of the world heritage sites.
