We have stayed at the Montien between 20 and 30 times over the years From the time we are welcomed at the door by the friendliest of people, Ratsac,( and his team) we always feel at home.
The Montien has a family feel to it, nothing is too much trouble for the staff, service is excellent and the rooms are large and spotlessly clean. The restaurant has good food with good service.

| "6th visit in 10 years - superior room. We stayed for 11 nights and loved the warm hospitality of all the staff, including the genuine welcome from the cheerful doorman (Ratsak), delightful guest relations & housekeeping team, and the friendly staff at Ruenton Coffeeshop (buffet breakfast). Fabulous buffet lunch at The Monti.
Rooms are clean and have been refurbished. Still prefer the carpeted Superior rooms, compared to the Executive/Deluxe ones with the timber floors.
Hotel limousine transfers were great and we even booked one for a day trip to Pattaya. Great security and wonderful service.
Pool area is rather small but still great to get some sun and have a swim.
Great tailor near the Ruenton Coffeeshop who has made my suits and shirts for the last 10 years.
Location is great. Around 50 Baht (AUD2 or GBP1) by taxi to all major shopping centres (MBK, Siam Paragon & Central World) or to Oriental Hotel. Recommend that you visit the Oriental Hotel for dinner (at The Verandah) or afternoon tea (Author's Lounge). Treat yourself to the limousine transfers from both hotels and live it up like a king!
Great value and service!

| "This traditional and good hotel has an unbeatable position allowing its guests to reach any point of interest both for business and for tourism purposes. Friendly welcoming attentive and smiling staff everywhere. Both Skytrain and underground stations are within very easy reach. Unfortunately in my reapeated stays in this hotel I always experienced that the luggage delivery service to the rooms upon arrival and from the rooms upon departure was unacceptably slow, taking regularly as long as fifteen minutes although the otherwise kind bell personnel had been advised that time was of importance for me; perhaps I had bad luck and maybe that in the future I'll decide to help myself. I have been told by other guests that the cheapest rooms look tired (the whole building is not new) but my executive and not much more expensive room was excellent. I appreciated very much the kind front desk staff allowing for me by a committing search in their computer an early check in at 7.30 a.m. giving me the chance to enjoy a rest after my long and tiring intercontinental flight." |
