| "The Siam Beverly Hotel had just undergone a refurbishment and had been renamed Bangkok Cha-da Hotel when we stayed. This is important as taxi drivers may still know it as the Siam Beverly for some while. I booked this hotel through AsiaRooms for A$32 for a double room including breakfast.
After check-in we were shown to a twin room with carpet which was probably one of the rooms that had not yet been refurbished. I immediately 'phoned Reception and advised that I had booked a double room. I was told that they were busy. I said, "No, no I have paid for a double room". Without further argument the Bell-boy was instructed to take us to another room. This was a newly refurbished room that was entirely acceptable. It had hard floor (no smelly carpet) and was freshly repainted and redecorated in a modern, minimalist style (with orange wall panel).
The room was sufficiently spacious with a new comfortable queen sized bed, television, mini-bar, small table and chairs, good hot shower. While is it still fresh from the refurbishment this place is clean, comfortable and good value.
Having arrived after dark, it was nice to be able to leave the hotel, turn left, and just over the next lane was a big, open-fronted, local seafood restaurant where we could get a freshly cooked meal, a cold beer and a gasp of warm air before retiring to sleep off the flight. In the day light, this hotel was close to four big shopping opportunities including Robinsons department store. The hotel is just a short walk to the MBT (underground rail), so it's not a bad location.

"hotel still under renovation to its ground floor, now that the reception area is completed looks like another month or so to do the right coffee shop side. hotel is raising its room rates after the frontage renovation which I calculated about 30%. Only complain is the bathtub is rusty and old. Frankly if they raise the room rates, to be fair to customers, they should also improve on the rooms as well because we basically don't sleep at the reception area as now the cost is passed on to the future customers. Maybe new owners too as the old name Siam Beverly is gone but the staffs are the same with afew new additions. I like the convinence of the location but now with the new price of the rooms looks like I have more other hotels to choose from."

"The location is out of the way but MRT is just a 5 minute walk away!!! They also have FOXNEWS which I require during my travels!!! The one thing you need to be aware is the bottled water in the mini fridge is 30 baht!!! No free bottles of water!!! They have a small pitcher of water on the vanity!!!"

"I always stay at this hotel when I go to performances at the Thailand Cultural Center which is only a short walk away. The rooms are very good and well soundproofed so there's no noise from the main road outside. Breakfasts are excellent but finish at 9.30, which may be a little early for some. The price through Asia Rooms is unbeatable."

"Pleasant stay, very peaceful and quite. Rooms are spacious with good view of thr Ratchada area. Close to shopping area like Robinson and Carrefour ( 15min walk) Bad thing is that room has no kettel and hair dryer...which was sadly missing. If not this hotel will come highly reccomended."
