I could not rate the call centre as I did not use it.
I had to make changes to my holiday plans at short notice at the end of August so went online for help with hotels. I found a large range of choices and was influenced by the the customer feedback ratings in some cases.
I looked at hotels in Delhi also and selected a hotel from your list, but my Travel Agent was handling that part of the holiday and made those bookings. The small number of feedback ratings made a judgement hard, as of course contradictory statements in a spread of 6-10 reviews is not very helpful. An overall satisfaction of 4/5 from 200 reviews does have much greater meaning. The Thai hotels (which I booked from a cyber cafe in Bangkok except my first booking for the Viengtai) had a much stronger feedback bank and I found this very helpful.
Obviously it would be nice to get an immediate response (and I know you offer this at a slightly higher price). I chose to work through the "on request" channel and was very happy with the 24 hour response time. The Hotels were all better than expected and the prices extrememly reasonable. I shall certainly make use of Asia Rooms again.

| "I did not hear back about my request for a reservation within the timeframe stated in the web site, but when I wrote about it to the customer service a satisfactory explanation was provided very quickly and I was very pleased with the quality of this communication and the followup with the hotel by service desk staff.
The pricing of the room through yourselves was excellent, and was exactly what we needed for our trip.
The information provided at the site for the hotel was great, helping us to make the decision to stay, and providing what we needed to find the hotel when we arrived.
The Shinosaka hotel listing WAS a little hard to find in the search engine for the site, but then maybe that was just the way I was using it.(I had to really dig to find it)
The only thing that made me nervous and nearly stopped me from using Asiarooms was the inability to contact the hotel to confirm the reservation. I decided to trust you guys, and was rewarded for doing so but I am sure there are many first-timers who would find this offputting - also not being able to find out whether their special requests would be met.
Having said that you get what you pay for, and the cheap accommodation made these small issues less important to us and I guess reducing communication with the hotel helps keep the prices down :-)
Overall we were very happy with our stay and how easy it was to use you, and will be very happy to recommend you to our friends." |
