Whitesands Hotel Mombasa-bamburi Bch was built in 1976. One of the best resorts in Kenya with an excellent reputation and 200 metres of beautiful beach front, the longest seafront on the north coast of Mombasa. The resort is set amongst 22 acres of tropical gardens, swaying palm trees and fish ponds. The
main outdoor swimming pool is huge and stretches out over different areas so it is suitable for children and adults. There is a water sports shop and office where guests can organise snorkelling and scuba diving. A children's club is available as is a
a baby sitting service. A variety of entertainment is on show every night. There are a number of sunbathing areas on the beach and around the resort - drinks and snacks can be ordered by the pool. The large lobby is open plan and has marble floor and a seating area for guests. The reception desk is to the left as you enter and to the right is a shop, concierge desk and local information board.
A beachfront property, the Whitesands is spread out over 22 acres of landscaped gardens. 3 storeys high in some accommodation blocks, the buildings are painted bright white with many of the blocks right on the sand beaches.
