| "The hotel is good, but overpriced, a Western-style hotel. It's attractions are that it is near the Asakusa temple, and that the view is terrific (be sure you get a room on a high floor). There used to be a bar on the top floor, a wonderful place to get a drink and look out over the city -- but now the only bar is in the basement, so if you want the view you have to eat in the very-expensive restaurant.
It is very convenient to the new Tsukuba Express line -- however, that line is not yet on most of the maps available in English, so we could not figure out how to get there from Narita airport, and ended up walking from Tawaramachi on the Ginza line. If you want to stay there, it would be worth looking up the connections ahead of time." |

| "This was my second stay at this hotel. I noticed a real decline in the rooms and public areas over my last stay 3 years ago. The carpeting in the hallways was stained and well worn and the room furniture has seen better days. I needed to change rooms because the smell of cigarette smoke was very strong. I requested a no smoking room and was assured I had one, but once in the room it stank of smoke and there were ash trays and matches on the table. I called to the desk to inquire if this was a no smoking room and the desk manager assured me it was. I asked that he come to my room so he could see otherwise. The manager was very rude about this, however, the bell staff was extraordinary and tried very hard to make my stay pleasant and apologized for the problems. I was moved to the no-smoking floor, which still had an overpowering stale smoke smell embedded in the bedding and curtains. I did request the key to open the window which helped somewhat. The bathroom had a moldy smell. I was really surprised because my stay several years earlier was very pleasant. I do not recommend this hotel if you are sensitive to smoke. If you are a smoker, this hotel is ideal for you." |

| "The Asakusa View Hotel was a great find. The location is perfect and we ( myself and 2 teenage children) had a beautiful view of the Sensoji Temple. The room was clean and spacious for Japanese standards. The hotel staff is very nice and some speak English. Asakusa is a wonderful area, where you can observe more traditional costumes. We absolutely loved Tokyo and intend to go back and stay at the Asakusa View Hotel." |

| "We had a wonderful stay at the Asakusa View Hotel. Our good sized room was on the 9th floor facing west with 2 dble beds. At first we were a bit disappointed at not being higher and at not facing east to overlook the temple area, but our side had great advantages. West overlooks a quieter neighborhood; plus, on the last day of our stay, (the only really clear day), there was Mt. Fuji on the horizon. The large bay window in our room was a lovely space to sit and enjoy the lights and sites of Tokyo. The greatest value of the hotel was the complementary breakfast in a light filled room on the ground floor(offered when booked through AsiaRooms). More than you could ever eat buffet breakfast with eastern and western choices, and the coffee was good.
Only complaint, use of the swimming pool cost over $30pp. All in all, a great value in a quieter part of Tokyo that we highly recommend if you want to be away from the lights and choas of the Ginza type tourist areas of Tokyo.

The location of the hotel was wonderful, near the Sensoji Temple and the river." |

| "The view was spectacular, and the rate we got online was a great bargain. It was also very handy for an overnight stay while changing planes at Narita -- we could see Senso-ji and shop the Nakamise-dori in the morning before going back to the airport.
The room would have benefited from a little sprucing up; the spray in the toilet seat needed adjustment, and a couple of other minor repairs were needed --but it war really very pleasant.
The main thing missing was a public bath." |

| "We really enjoyed our stay at the Asakusa View in Tokyo. Because we booked through Asia Rooms we felt that we got great rooms at a reasonable price. We enjoyed the location not only because we could walk to many of the sites we wanted to see but the neighborhood was pleasant and the people were helpful. It was also close to mass transit. The people at the hotel were friendly and courteous. They were very helpful in their advice. We would stay there again.

| "While staying at Asusaka View we misplaced a passport and thought part of our trip would be a disaster. The staff and management at Asusaka View assisted us in every possible way and made what could have been a terrible experience into a positive one. We hope to stay there again one day. It is a beautiful hotel and the view is lovely." |
