"Akasaka Yoko in Tokyo Japan is HIGHLY recommended for budget travellers. My only gripe about the hotel room is the size of the bathroom. It is very small, even for an asian. I cannot imagine a caucasian using it. But we kinda got used to it after the first night. The breakfast buffet can also be improved. We also found out that there are bigger sized bedrooms but the bathrooms are identical in size regardless of how much you can pay to stay here. I will stay in this hotel again!"

"butiful hotel, good location and kindly staf."

"AKASAKA YOKO is really good value considering its location and the breakfast buffet. Rooms are small but this is Japan! I shall surely go there again for my next stay in Tokyo. "

"The hotell is great value but pretty worn. It's definitely clean but they could make a fresher impression if there was less early 80's style brown everywhere. For me coming from the nordics I was somewhat suprised having fish and meatsballs for breakfast. No real bread or cheese available. But that's part of the cultural experience I guess. I asked for internet but instead of the usual wireless wifi net you would find at most hotells there was a japanese computer and a ethernet jack. You could take the computers out since most travelers these days brings their own laptops, PDAs, iPhones etc many with no ethernet jack in them at all. However, the neighbourhood is very nice, it's walking distance from Roppongi and to the subway so I will probably come back."

"well located and closer to roppongi,15 minutes walking, and 5 minutes walking to the nearest subway station.the price is a bargain for a luxurious hotel.definitely if i come back again this hotel will be my choice.the service is good and everything is very clean in this hotel."

"The room was small but bigger than I expected. The bathroom was tiny but serviceable and shampoo+conditioner, body wash, toothbrush+paste and razors were provided. The included breakfast buffet had mainly Japanese choices but there were toast, eggs and fruit so picky western eaters need not starve. The metro was close by as were plenty of restaurants, convenience stores and a grocery store. "

"Great location for doing business in and around Akasaka/Minato-ku but room size too small. Only Japanese TV channels, incidentally, and no BBC World or CNN!"

"The location of this hotel was perfect. It was right in the middle of town so everything was easily accessible. Everyone was polite and friendly. The room was scrupulously clean. Definitely a great choice."

"A Good hotel. Rooms are small but OK by Tokyo standards. Tourist should turn left after exitng the hotel, and then left aginn and then go up into the park and follow it into Mid-town and left again into Roppongi. So close to Roppongi and the centre of night life that it is exelent value. Staff could do more to guide western tourists to the right places. A genuine Jpanese hotel. We liked it."

"Yoko Hotel in Akasaka is a business budget hotel. For $120/night you get a tiny room with all the amenities you need, including breakfast for two. With 2 suitcases you can hardly move and the bathroom is even tinier than most closets. But what do you expect for $120/night in the heart of Japan? The service is good, the receptionists can speak English well enough and they are able to give directions. Each guest gets a free bottled water once a day, there are water and tea dispensers on each floor. There is also a laundry (pay washing machine and dryer) on the 2nd floor which is open from 10am-8pm. If you are traveling on a budget, I HIGHLY recommend this hotel. It is clean, efficient and very close to the tokyo metro (just 5 minutes walk on the same road). Sorry, no close JR lines here, you have to take the metro and switch somewhere. Akasaka is a nice quiet neighborhood with lots of restaurants. There is a 24 hour grocery near Yoko Hotel (around 10 mins walk) but the items in 7-Eleven is even cheaper than the supermarket! I recommend this hotel because you get VALUE for your money! I would stay here again. "
