"We booked 3 rooms during our stay in Osaka. The location is wonderful ... cos we travel from Shin Osaka to Kobe, kyoto, Himeiji. Even from Kansai Airport is very convenience ... need not to change. Paid by S$178 per room with breakfast ... worth"

"The location is very good for many things...any transportations, foods, and many...also very easy to find when you come from any cities from the train station. The cleaniless is very good but the room is quite too small. By the way, over all is quite ok & it is reasonable & also suitable for tourists. "

"This Hotel location is good, It's very near to the shin-osaka JR Station. Just 5mins away to station. Rooms are small, but overall its okie for two people in the rooms. Breakfast has a mixture of western and japanese spread. "

"The location is the top choice for this hotel. It is right next to Shin-Osaka station. The rooms where cozy and really clean. The hotel in whole seemed like we were underpaying for what we were getting, so I would definitely recommend staying here. "

"If you're after a convenient, cheap-ish, clean place to shower and stay, this place would be it. But as is often commonly encountered in japan hotels, the rooms are very, very tiny, ~12-14sqm - ok for a single person, a real squeeze for a couple especially once you put two suitcases on the floor. We didn't go to japan to stay in the hotel though so it was bareable for us. Hotel decor and furniture is extremely dated (ironic that it has the word "New" in its name?!) but rooms were kept clean. It is very well located near the JR Shin-Osaka bullet train station (less than 5 min walk). Which makes it an excellent base to explore Japan's other areas. This was pretty much the main reason we had picked it and it did not disappoint. TV has no english stations although the hotel does offer free internet connection if you bring along your laptop. Breakfast was ok - nothing fantastic. We found reception staff spoke little english. If you're planning to spend most of your time out of the hotel room exploring like we did, then this is adequate. "We stayed at New Osaka in May 08. Location is near Shin Osaka station which is good, but room/bathroom is pretty tiny and smells of smoke. Even the double bed looks more like a slightly bigger single bed. It is ok for a very short stay for business travellers. We found the check in and out to be very smooth without any delays. Breakfast is ok, I guess value for money. Shin Osaka subway station has quite a good variety of restaurants but for a really wide and fantastic walkabout for leisure seekers, do stay around Umeda instead. "

"This hotel was old, outdated furnishings and generally felt in need of a good spring clean. Although we were in a non smoking level it still managed to smell smokey. The location was in an old part of town with nothing near it. I would not recommed this hotel to anyone. I am glad we were only staying there for 1 night as a lay over because I would have booked out the next morning."

"Excellent Excellent place for the price. Air conditioning, nice comfy bed, 32in LCD, Wired Internet in the room AND computers to use in the lobby etc. INCREDIBLY easy to find from Shin Osaka station. Only gripes I guess is the room is a bit small but yeah, this is Japan, and the hotel is kind of in the middle of nowhere, theres a few restaurants down the street, and the train station, but thats about it. Oh and be warned, the TV only has like 6 channels and theyre all in Japanese."
