| "We stayed at Namba Oriental for 6 nights. Hotel staff were very friendly & helpful. Location of the hotel is very convenient, easy access to food, shopping and getting around. Hotel is quite old and run down, as our room carpet are quite stained and wall paper peeling off. Smoke in the elevator is unbearable and but thank goodness, our room is okay. Check in time is not 2pm but 3pm and check out time is 10am and not 12 noon. Other than that, we were quite happy with our stay at Namba Oriental and will still stay there on our next visit. " |

| "We had a great stay in this hotel; Staff were friendly, rooms were clean and if not spacious they were perfectly adequate - a tripple room was 2 double beds and a futon. It was in a perfect location for shopping, eating (check out teppanyakki at 'Elegance' opposite the Aussie bar just arround the corner) and getting arround - right IN the entertainment district (some may find this noisy but we did not notice it once inside). It is a short walk away from Shinsaibashi shopping mall through Ebisubashi, America-mura and there are 2 huge great shopping centres right around the corner from the hotel itsself. The train and subway system is close and fairly easy to navigate with suitcases though you do have to do a bit of walking underground to get to the airport line - Note when looking for the hotel that it is located IN the middle of the undercovered entertainment mall! Overall I was very happy with this hotel, my only problem was with the smoke in the lobby and the hallways - the smell was incredible." |

| "The hotel is quite convenient and easy to access. Just near Sansaibashi. The only thing I cannot stand that when you go into the lift, you got smellish because there have a game centre on the basement. " |

| "I am quite please with the hotel location, which proximity to Namba station. However, staff are not very friendly which is surprising for a luxury hotel. Further improvement in this area would defintely increase the value of this hotel." |

| "Poor location if you have any baggage - its a long walk from nearest roads and/or subway if you're pulling a suitcase!
Fun area - almost surrounded by gambling houses; thus very noisy at night. Local pub is good for food; or you can easily do McDonalds on the doorstep. Convenience store very close as well.
You might have to ask a drag queen for directions at the lower level - there are some seedy characters about. Lobby is on 3rd level.
Room small but clean - beds were comfortable.
Not easy to get to airport on checking out - same old long hike with baggage as when you arrive." |
