"Excellent business style hotel with all facilities required. Right next to Shinsaibashi station and shopping - everywhere!!!"

"good hotel at a good location"
4/5  Posted by MR. TATANG, Julian, Australia in November 2008
"Great location, about 10 to 15 min walk from Shinsaibasi station, very close to Dontombori, America Maru and other shopping districts. Room size is pretty good for a Japanese hotel. Great service (then again the Japanese really know how to give "Customer Service"), very helpful and super polite! I'd stay in this hotel again for sure. "

"Great hotel and location. Perfect for my family with my young daughter. However, it'll be a queeze for family with 2 kids or more. Would be great if they have slight bigger with 2 double beds instead. And breakfast is good and healthy. "

"Overall not bad. A good place if you're traveling on a budget. Staff was ALMOST bilingual but tried their best. Was accused of and charged for a broken photo frame in the room that was broken prior to my arrival. Due to the language barrier I couldn't argue my case and ended up just paying the money. The location, however is great! Right in the middle of the best of the Nightlife in Osaka. Close to several metro subway stations. Everything within walking distance. "

"In terms of location, the hotel is not that difficult to find & is within walking distance of the train station. The staff there is generally helpful in attending to your needs. Breakfast is simple but filling. For someone travelling alone, the hotel would be ideal."

"We spent 4 nights here.Simply love the location! Just as was mentioned by previous travellers in their review. As usual, toilet was typically small (but OK for asian women like us,though could be bigger :-) ). I've known and heard about politeness from the Japanese, they truly never fail to deliver that! MOST of the reception staffs were patient and pleasant, though their command of english were somewhat limited. Breakfast was simple, but good enough to feel our stomachs:-) Maybe they should vary the selections, never mind even if it is simple. We actually ate out on one of our day's stay there. Overall, it was rather easy to find the hotel, despite all the small little lanes. I will DEFINITELY recommend this hotel to my peers if they should be touring Osaka, for its superb location and not forgetting value for money! :-) From: 'The blind leading the blinds' of Singapore "

"Clean, tidy, reasonable room size, convenient location, very helpful staff. Overall extremely good value for money."

"(Follows on from my previous comment) We spent our last night in Japan at this hotel in June 2008. We came back (spent the first 2 nights of the trip here too) because it's always served us well and the location is awesome for shopping and food. You won't get spacious rooms, luxurious surrounds, or pampering of any sort, but you will get great value, location, and friendly attentive service. Will definitely stay here again on our next visit."

"This was my second visit to Osaka and The Comfort Hotel Shinsaibashi. We stayed for 2 nights in late May 2008. The previous visit was for 2 nights in June 2007. While the rooms and toilet are small, it is everything you need for a night or two. The breakfast adds to the value proposition, with all you can eat inari, salads, mini-croissant's, packet corn-cream soup, cereal, yogurt, coffee, minute-maid orange juice, etc. I decided to look around at a range of other hotels before selecting The Comfort Hotel Shinsaibashi again for our second visit to Osaka, but there is simply nothing else in this price range which offers the same value. I attach great value to things like great location (3 minutes walk from the covered shopping arcade in Shinsaibashi with countless retailers and food stores, and a 10 minute walk to Nanba). We spent another night here a couple of weeks later at the end of our trip before heading home to Sydney, and we will definitely use this hotel for future visits to Osaka. It just can't be beaten in this price category."
