A great hotel, shame about the location.
I can not fault the hotel, the room was large, clean and comfortable. The same with the bathroom.
The TV had a good choice of channels to view.
However, the location of the hotel isn't as central to the shops/facilities as I was led to believe by their website.
The roads outside of the hotels were packed and noisy - the noise doesn't make it into the rooms. However they are hard to cross and the pavements around the hotel are poor at best, non-existant at worse. I wouldn't recommend walking around in the dark as you are likely to fall down gaps in the pavements or trip over things.
A KFC is just across the road from the hotel.
If I found myself in Medan again, I would stay at this hotel because it is worthy of 5 stars, but don't expect to be in the centre of things.

| "Pleasantly surprised. Receptionist was polite upon our arrival. Room size, cleanliness, service - excellent. Coffee-house kind of noisy but is to be expected with families with children and tiny tots running around. The Seafood Chinese Restaurant has sumptious food and the quality and service is really good. Conceirge exceptionally helpful. Only setback is there is no drugstore nor newspapers provided.
Yeap will definitely recommend this hotel to our friends though it may be a bit to our disadvantage as if Angkasa gets too popular, will be worried if the service standard will remain status quo.
