| "This hotel is in a good location close to china town, the old Dutch fort and many good warrungs also a good base to explore Makassar and near by countryside which is stunning.
Make sure you book a seaview cottage which are clean and comfortable, also due to the fantastic views of the harbour with the commings and goings of the local ferries and nearby islands from the verander and have all the facilities one needs. The budget rooms offer no view and are claustraphobic.
Staff are friendly though reserved, efficient and helpful. In all a good place to stay." |

| "We stayed in the Sea View Cottage, an absolutely must. This was one of our most romantic cottage of our vacation. A great cottage on the water with a beautiful view and a breath taking sunset. Breakfast is on a boat with a nice buffet. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Outside the hotel it is not a very modern city but the food (especially fish) of the restaurants is very good. " |
