| "Overwhelmingly disappointing stay : non-existent service from the disinterested staff; awful breakfast with no service; dirty room/bathroom; no internet service except in lobby (which was overpriced and extremely slow/unreliable). Not worth the money paid - will stay elsewhere next time." |

| "Generally the hotel is decent. However, no free available in the room.
Location is really incovenience. You need wheels to go anywhere, even just to find a conveniece store for a pack of cigarette or a mobile reload card. " |

| "The overall experience was much better than I expected.
The only slightly negative was the breakfast was basic. Everything served on a steam table. No cook to order eggs or pancakes etc.
The pancakes from the steam table were so hard they could not be cut with a knife.
My trip was delayed a day and the hotel was nice enough to change my reservation without charge or hassle.

| "This is the third time we stayed in Ibis Slipi (2A + 2K in 2 standard rooms) so we knew what to expect for our money. Whilst the bedroom and bathroom is small, it's sufficient if you just need a clean & quiet place to sleep after a whole day of shopping and sitting in traffic jams. The desk allows you to do a bit of work in your room. The bedsheets we had were crispy white & clean. There's not enough lighting brightness in the room so it's really gloomy at night. There's enough choice from the breakfast buffet but go in early morning before the families with young kinds attend. The kids tend to run amok and touch everything with their hands (as do some adults!). Not too appetising after that. The hotel is only a short drive across from Taman Anggrek Mall. Note short drive does not mean short time travel! Plenty of Bluebird group taxi at the front as it's an official Bluebird rank. Leave the hotel at least 2 hours before your flight as it takes about 40mins to get there on a good day. Better being bored from arriving too early at the airport than miss your flight due to traffic jam. Our only disappointment on this trip was the fact we couldn't get connecting rooms on a non-smoking floor despite being assured 4 days before arriving. We got put up in the smoking floor for 3 nights as it's the only one left with connecting rooms. Fortunately no cigarrette smoke was able to enter the room through the air cond. We did have to hold our breath everytime we go from the room to the lift & back because the cigarette smell is so strong. At this hotel, you can't upgrade your room even after offering more money because the package was paid through Asiarooms so they don't know how much extra to charge you. We're only talking about an extra $10-15AUD a night here. Not exactly too difficult to make a discretionary call as such.... " |

| "Hi,
My wife and I stayed in this Hotel twice within two months period. The Hotel is very very clean and the employees are very friendly and helpful. I would reccomend to anyone because it's worth it. We actually enjoyed the food in both restaurants let alone the breakfast, which was my favourate. The only facilities missing in the rooms are small items such as hairdryer, iron & ironboard but we had our iron and hairdryer with us so we didn't care. The location is not bad but there are Taxis available withing the Hotel premises. it's a good Hotel." |

| "I've stayed at Ibis Slipi a few times over about the past 7 years, most recently in August 2007, and it has always presented great value for money.
The rooms are generally a touch on the small side, but not unusually so. The Executive room I have stayed in has been the same layout as any other room, but higher in the building and with a funkier finish, which I don't think justifies the added cost.
Breakfast has always been a fairly standard Indonesia hotel affair, which may take some westerners a little getting used to, but I think Ibis Slipi does a good job with it. No complaints from me there.
I have always found the staff have always been quite friendly and efficient. While you really need to a taxi to go anywhere, there is always one at the door and the door staff are great, the taxis are cheap, and the hotel location is really convenient.
I was unlucky enough to have to arrange to see the house doctor during my last stay, and the service was fantastic. As a result I vowed I would make sure I gave the hotel a good rap when I returned, and here it is.
Well done Ibis Slipi, I only wish Ibis hotels in Australia were such great value!" |
