its reasonably priced but the rooms are old and somewhat tired - not in the class of the major hotels - shangrila, hyatt etc. location is also away from the CBD, near the government offices - so allow an extra 15-30 minutes to the big fountain in the middle of town. airport is 1 hour 15 minutes at least.

I stayed in Borobudur about 25 years ago and enjoyed my stay. Now, back again I found the hotel mainly the same. The hotel managed to keep its nice style and high end, 5star quality.
I missed nothing except the Internet access (WiFi) in my room. Many International hotels have free WiFi access in the rooms or offer few hours free Internet access.

| "Very beautiful old hotel, the rooms were large and clean. We lived on the 8th floor with a great view. The hotel breakfast was good but I had expected a bit more from a five star hotel breakfast.The swimming pool area was great as well as the bar/restaurant in the lobby with live music every night. We would definitely stay here again. The staff was very helpful and friendly!" |

nice rooms, several restaurant at the hotel, breakfast buffet is big, nice big swimming pool and staff is very nice!
the Hotel is located very close to the National Monument and other main touristic interests.
we will definitely go back either for business or for holiday" |
