| "Ubud is amazing, I and my wife really enjoy staying there, trekking in the rice field and visiting arts village.
The location of Yulia in Ubud is good, however there is no suttle bus or car pick up service. The set up of the garden and room is quite nice, however probably because of the unpleasent service, the overall comments is negtive. The room rate is quite compatible to most of the standard hotels in Ubud area. I sugguest the tourist to stay in a higher standard hotel or resort just to pay extra USD10, or just get a home stay guest house room simply by picking from the road side (very nice ricefield view and much cheaper price, the only difference for guest house room is there is no air-conditioner, however it is very cooling at nice in Bali, I do not think air-conditionar is very much necessary, and obviously, the onwer of the guest house is much more friendly and fun!!!).
Actually, Yulia is not that bad, the only problem is its service, seems the staff there have problem to understand English. The boys do not help the guests to carry luggage during checking in our out.
The breakfast is not really nice.
Probably, I will not stay there again although definitley I will be back to Bali again. But, consider about the room rate and location.... who knows.." |

| "Yulia Ubud is great b/c of the location, it is in the central of Ubud main street - Monkey Forest Rd. Second of all, it's just next to a great and economical spa place, Verona Spa.
The dissapointing factor was the condition of the room. From the deluxe room pictures posted on the website is much bigger than we have booked which was the deluxe room facing swimming pool. In fact, there's no room that really front the pool. However, the staff did make a point to make us feel welcome by decorating the bathtub and bed with flowers (we were on our honeymoon). Yulia staff is very friendly. The weather in Ubud during the evening and night was FANTASTIC! It was so cooling - a surprise to both of us. We took a nice stroll along Monkey Forest Rd and no sweat at ALL! We will definitely come back to stay just in Ubud but perhaps try another hotel???" |
