| "Just stayed last 3 nights at Karma Kandara.
I must say that what you get at KK is exactly what you see on its website pictures, the view is breathtaking and surroundings is serene. You can hear nothing but the crashing waves of the Indian Ocean. Service is impeccable: staff are friendly and they are flexible to customise service according to your needs.
The location is very remote, so i won't suggest this place if you need to do the usual touristy day tours in bali, coz that means you won't maximise your stay at KK.It takes average 40 min by car to reach most places from KK, coz the last 1-2km to KK is unpaved winding road which makes driving very very slow. We got ourselves a private driver to bring us to places, even then the journeys are long.
KK villa is fanastic for cooking coz kitchen comes complete with pots, pans and utensils incl an automatic dishwasher! so do bring your own ingredients and food to cook your own meals there. Otherwise there's only one restaurant Di mare to eat at, food is good but very pricey. Will be quite hard to sustain economically if you are staying there for a wk or more.
Its pte beach is interesting, only pity is that the beach club is still under construction. Would be a nice place to chill out or sunbath, otherwise its sand and sea is nothing much to rave about if you are contemplating things like snorkelling.
Spa is good too, coz it is done in small huts situated on the edge of the cliff. You get ocean view while getting a massage, and again very quiet surroundings while you relaxed completely.Prices for spa is reasonable, similar to that of typical hotels.
Overall, i rate this place highly 8 out of 10." |
